As I have mentioned, having a presence on the internet that is 100% all yours is vital. If the idea of creating your website or blog seems overwhelming, you are not alone. There are a lot of resources out there to help you get started. Is Joni Kinney’s Build a Blog This Weekend a good fit for you? Let’s find out.
Build a Blog This Weekend
This is a quick crash course in all the basics you’ll need to launch a blog in no time flat. There is no overwhelming level of work or fluff. Short, sweet, and simple is the best way to describe it. Plus a couple of bonus add-ons to round it all out. Wix, Weebly, and all of the other “free” website and blog builders make it seem simple but they really are not. Having a self-hosted site is the best long-term approach.
As I just said, short – – sweet – – simple. This is a no-stress approach. The point of the course is to get the basic foundation of a blog in place on a Managed WordPress site.
Area for improvement
Since the aim is to build a blog this weekend and not teach EVERYTHING about blogging, I will not labor over this point but I think an FAQ/terminology section that clearly spells out what all the terms actually mean. It feels like there is a base-level knowledge of what some of these words mean and a newbie might not know what some of it mean.
Who would benefit from this course
Small business owners that need to create an online presence where they can control the content. Also, those budding writers that just want to share their musings with world!
What is a business task that you struggle with? Let me know in the comments or drop me a line, and I will find a course to take and review for your needs!
