The course provides an overview of basic terms, setting up a welcome sequence, and some other great features. It is done in a very straightforward and hands-on approach that will help to demystify the process.

Strength

Joni rocks! Oh, you need a little more information than that statement? Okay, I can do that for you. The course contains the foundational blocks and copy/text to create a four email welcome sequence that will leave you feeling confident about what to say to new subscribers. Also, she gives some great ideas of freebies and opt-in ideas so that people actually subscribe.

Each lesson contains a video to help you step-by-step through the process as well. You’ll be able to follow along in real-time with your own Mailerlite account.

Area for improvement

The course could have benefited for a pep talk about unsubscribers because the truth is people will unsubscribe. Building a strong email list is not about quantity, it is about quality. Psst… don’t take it personally.

Who would benefit from this course?

Anyone that is considering setting up a newsletter and/or collecting customer emails would benefit from this course, even if Mailerlite is not your preferred platform. A lot of the concepts and processes can be utilized in Mailchimp, Convertkit, and Flodesk as well.

What’s next?
